My Next Blogging Move . . . Daily Challenges Ahead!

It’s time to make a move! I mean it! (By the way, I’m talking to myself here.

Now, the rest of the talk is for you.

I’ve been MIA over here at my online abode, and it’s time to get reacclimated to my home turf and get some blogging momentum going up in here.

My returns to home have been incredibly brief over the last several months, and I find myself longing for my comfy space that I’ve pretty much vacated.

With the exception of some daily challenges that I’m posting for the children in the “LRCU Membership” and my sporadic blog posts to let you all know that I still have a humble presence in these online airwaves, I’ve pretty much been on an extended hiatus.

Some of the time away has been by choice; but some wasn’t, and I had to get to gettin’ in other areas of life that took the role of “Head Priority.”

But, now? . . .But now, I have my blinders on and I’m looking straight forward at what I can place in a “Head Priority” role at this current time.

You know what I’m going to say, don’t you?

Drum roll, please.

In one of the top three spots for “Head Priority,” we have . . .

BACK TO BLOGGING, of course! (The other two spots are reserved for tutoring and my membership for elementary and middle school students.)

Why now for the return to blogging? Well, it’s because I have room to and because there’s “no place like home.”

Yes, it’s time! And, waaaaaayyyyy overdue, I might add.

So, there’s really no better way to rev up the blogging engine than to come out of the gate with some major content output. And, I can’t think of a better way to do it than to slap a great big Degrees of Maternity Daily Challenge on myself.

And, this one is going to be different from the other two challenges — “Procrastination Station” and “Creative Movement” that I participated in in the past.

In this challenge, I’m going to play it by ear. Be flexible, you know. But, I want to see how long I can go for the remainder of 2025 blogging about TUTORING. Yes, tutoring. This idea is so new that I don’t even have a nifty name for the challenge just yet.

I just know that I need a challenge to help challenge myself to get my blogging action acting. And, I think talking about my adventures in tutoring just might get me there. I mean . . . there’s nothing like a good, old-fashioned challenge to create that accountability factor I so desperately need to keep me on track with my blogging visits with you.

And since I’ve been away a lot lately, I have a WHOLE LOTTA LOTTA catchin’ up to do. Content’s been piling up internally, and I need to release the content creation pressure I’m feeling from having things bottled up for so long.

Hope you’re ready for the onslaught, because I’m gonna let you have it. Hee. Hee.

Okay, back to the challenge.

I’m inspired to formulate the challenge just like the one I’m doing for the children in my membership. The children are getting a daily challenge Monday through Thursday of each week. So, I’m going to do the same for yours truly. I’m going to give myself a daily challenge Monday through Thursday of each week, starting with next week on Monday, September 29th. And again, the challenge is to blog about my adventures in tutoring. That’s it! No specific rules to it. I’ll just start drip feeding you what I’ve learned as a reading tutor over the years.

Oh, and I think I just figured out the name for the daily challenge. I just stated it (for the second time) in the paragraph above. Can you guess what it is?

Anyway, there’s a lot that I’ve learned and experienced over the years, and I’m excited to share it with you. For me, reading tutoring is one of those mission-driven purposes that I’ve come to realize I’ve been created for. So, hope you’ll check out the content Monday through Thursday. I need my Accountability Partners, BIG TIME!

THE CHALLENGE IS ON!

  1. Hi there Phil – I hope your week has been a good one. And, you are absolutely right. I mean . . . I get it. I’m not even on other peoples’ blogs daily like that. Let alone, comment. I just don’t have time to be as active as I’d like to. So, I definitely don’t expect you to comment on every post I put out — especially since I’ll be ramping up the content for a bit. I just appreciate it whenever you have the time to come on and check things out. And sometimes, you might read something and not necessarily have anything you want to say behind it. That is just fine. Again, I just appreciate you reading my stuff when you can. Commenting on it is absolutely the icing on the cake. So, no pressure at all on your end. The pressure is all on me to do what I said I’d be doing. Literally, the pressure is all on me. And, I’ve got to release it with all this content I have bottled up over the last several months. (Hee. Hee.) So, I guess in a way I’m trying to make up for lost time (in a short period of time) for when I wasn’t blogging. We’ll see how it goes. Have a blessed weekend. And, please do visit me when it’s convenient for you. Your presence is always welcomed no matter the frequency. Take care, dear friend.

  2. Jana,

Thanks for your post. I have only one comment to make. While I appreciate that you wish to become more involved online, I am not sure if your proposal is the right one. I communicate through WordPress on a regular basis to one particular individual, but here’s the thing – he communicates to his followers every day, 365 days a year. Unless he sends me something that is of real interest or really needs commenting on, I do not respond. On average I do that every other day. More than that is just too much for me. Whether your readers will respond for four days in a row is a question you need to ask yourself.

That’s it from me! Have a lovely day.

    Regards, Phil
