Time to Get My TPT Store Ready for School

Well, I received online enrollment information for Little Man, who starts his first year of high school this coming school year. And, that wake-up call was just the kick in the rear I needed to remind me to get certain parts of my business ready for back to school.

So . . .

I’m hard at work at the Degrees of Maternity TPT store. Progress is being made, but there’s much work to do . . . which is why I’ll be brief here in today’s visit with you. 

I’m feverishly making updates on my main covers for each of the products in the store (only where updates are truly needed). “Feverishly,” because it’s a month away from the start of school here in the mid-western city in which I live. 

Of course, some schools in the U.S. will start even earlier (like this month) up ’till as late as the early part of September. But regardless of the start date, back-to-school prep for ’24 – ’25 is here. And, instructors are going to be looking for resources for their kiddos. Right?

Right! And so, I plan on getting my online store in the best shape it can be in before instructors start online window shopping and, more importantly, are ready to make school purchases. Kind of like classroom teachers who are preparing their classrooms for their incoming class roster of students on the first day of school and beyond.

Therefore, I’ve made some updates to my store — namely to the store banner, to the “About the store” section, to some product covers, and to some product titles. Several updates were made because they were have-tos due to the TPT platform making its own changes, and some were made as part of a renovation initiative I’m implementing in hopes of boosting traffic to my store.

Speaking of traffic . . . 

I would love for you to go and check out the Degrees of Maternity TPT store and see if you can guess which product covers have been updated and which ones haven’t been updated yet. Oh, and did you notice anything about the store banner? You’ve got to go over there and check it out — a no-pressure, “just for the fun of it” activity.

Fun Fact: I’m on a 20-day challenge that started on July 11th to have all the cosmetic adjustments to the product covers, along with product title changes, completed by the end of the month.

And can I ask you a HUGE favor, pretty please? Can I ask you to give the store’s link (above) to any parent, homeschooler, classroom teacher, and outside-of-the-classroom educator of elementary school-aged children? Pretty please, again? Because, there are plenty of resources that can be used to incentivize, reward, and instruct young learners. So, spread the word about the Degrees of Maternity store at TPT.
