Well, it appears that I waited until the very last day (literally the very last day of the month) to provide you with my literacy update. And, I purposely did it, so I could give you all the latest and greatest juicy details from the reading and writing worlds of Degrees of Maternity.
Now, just to refresh your memory if you didn’t catch the intro to these updates from The Literacy Corner at Degrees of Maternity (dated 1/11/24), I’ll be providing you with a briefing on my various reading and writing activities for the month. Once a month. At some time within the month.
After all, reading and writing are two of my creative outlets that I utilize personally as well as professionally. And, I can’t help but share them with you since both are a HUGE part of who I am and what I do. Quite honestly, they’re my jam.
So . . .
Please bear with me while I share updates from two activities that bring me such joy. Here’s the February 2024 update:
- Provided a brief chapter 5 summary of The 12 Week Year for my online fam who subscribe to the DOMinators News newsletter, the Degrees of Maternity newsletter that’s distributed every 4th Sunday of the month. And last Sunday, I dropped some little gems from chapter 5 to encourage the fam to get going on their goals — The 12 Week Year way. If you’re not subscribed to the newsletter and would like to do so, you can subscribe by clicking on the link right here.
- Created the 4 following blog posts on this here blog site: 1) Too Many High-Level Goals?, 2) Forever Planning and Never Getting to the Goaling, 3) When Pursuing the Goal Gets Boring . . ., and 4) When Pursuing the Goal Gets Boring . . . (cont). Check ’em out if you haven’t already.
- Still reading with the children from the tutoring company I work for. But as of this month, I’ve added “private tutoring” to my resume. Yes, I’ve taken tutoring to new avenues at Degrees of Maternity and have opened up my own one-on-one tutoring services. I’m currently partnering with a dear friend of mine and providing ELA tutoring services for the students at her academy. Children are such a joy to teach and learn from. I literally look forward to my sessions with each and every one of the kiddos (in the public as well as private settings). Love it, love it, LOVE IT!
- Oh, and I’m also providing content writing services for this same academy. So, the dream is turning into reality. I am so thankful that I’m truly getting to live my best creative life (in full swing) — just in time for all of nature’s goodness that’s getting ready to spring into action. Speaking of spring . . .
- I’m feelin’ it — Springtime, that is. Yes, I am ready for spring like I’ve never been ready for spring before. The whole idea of renewing, refreshing, rebirth, and things coming to life is such a welcomed reprieve every time it rolls around each year. So, it probably wouldn’t surprise you that I have a new product line (Spring-themed) that I’m launching throughout the month of March. This suite of products will be showing up at the Degrees of Maternity TpT and Classful stores, starting next week. Please keep a lookout. Oh, but here’s a sneak peek of a couple of the products (provided as freebies to my newsletter-subscribing fam) to pique your interest. (Hey, if you want your freebie copy of the binder covers below, just subscribe here to the DOMinators News monthly newsletter.)

Well, I think that’s all for the updates this month. I really feel like a lot is going on and truly there is. It’s bustling around the Degrees of Maternity homestead. And, I’m lovin’ it. Here’s to another productive literacy month. I’m looking forward to what March has in store.
