Every once in awhile, I feel the need to do a little reveal (in written form) of what’s in the old mind and heart, creatively speaking. And, this week’s blog post seemed to be the perfect opportunity to go full force with some much-needed revealing and reflecting.
I’m definitely operating in a frame of mind to look forward (with some sprinklings of looking back at past events this year) to bringing clarity to what Degrees of Maternity will hope to accomplish in the future.
You won’t receive a recap of 2022, per se, but rather, some high-level lessons learned in 2022 that will propel Degrees of Maternity in an exciting direction for 2023.
And, I wholeheartedly look forward to what 2023 has in store for us.
With that being said, I’m going to let you in on a few of the lessons learned (reflecting) part of this sharing time. I learned that . . .
- Simplifying life is so much better than trying to absorb the overwhelm that “doing all the things” brings about.
- In order to walk in a productive, creative flow, it’s important to 1) focus on the activities I love/enjoy, 2) focus on the activities I’m good at, and 3) focus on the activities that produce products/services that are of benefit to others.
- Taking care of the personal side of life is important to do in conjunction with the professional side of life so that an acceptable creative work-life balance can take place.
- Increasing good habits and decreasing bad habits is key to accomplishing tasks and reaching goals.
- Goals are good to have and achieve, but creating life-impacting systems that drive us to positive behaviors that lead to positive results should be a lifelong focus.
And now, I want to take you to the revealing (looking forward to) part of this sharing time. Okay, so it’s just going to be a partial reveal of what you’ll be noticing in the DOMinators News newsletters, starting next month.
Now, if you have absolutely no idea what I’m referring to when mentioning the DOMinators News newsletters, then you’re truly missing out on a worthwhile experience. I mean . . . Degrees of Maternity delivers helpful content in other places besides this blog.
Specifically-speaking, there’s monthly communication that goes out to individuals who’ve signed up to get the DOMinators News newsletters, distributed every 4th Sunday. And they’re packed with creative content to encourage life improvement through personal and professional development.
So . . .
I say you’re missing out if you’ve followed me for any length of time here but haven’t signed on to follow me over at DOMinators News. And you’re in for a real treat for 2023, because I’m coming with some creative content and activities to ignite the community to take charge of their OVERALL well-being.
Because, quite frankly, we need to give some attention to ourselves going forward.
I can’t give out too much detail about what’s in store for you by joining the email list family, as the ideas are newly in development — a work-in-progress of sorts. But please know you’ll be in on the ground level, if you decide to join in on the festivities as part of the DOMinators family.
(By the way, all you have to do is click on the link directly below and follow the prompts to join and start receiving your newsletters and all the great stuff packed within them). One of those prompts indicates that you’ll need to “confirm your subscription” — a very important step in making sure your newsletters start arriving to you on the 4th Sunday of every month.

Here’s a sneak peek of the topics that will drive the content and offerings you’ll see from Degrees of Maternity in 2023 (over at DOMinators News):
- writing with YOU in mind.
- a holistic approach to SIMPLIFYING LIFE.
- interactive input and offerings
- setting good habits
- noticeable results
In closing, I pray you have a most memorable rest of your 2022 and I look forward to us continuing this worthwhile journey into 2023.
Phil – I appreciate you so much. You are getting this response right before 2023 rolls in here in the Midwest. I’m so excited for what the upcoming months have in store for us. And, I would love for you to check out the monthly DOMinators News newsletter, because I think you’ll enjoy the content. Not to mention the fact that I’m wanting you to see the plans I have in store for new content coming out in 2023 and would love for you to be involved with input from the ground level and up. I’m sure you know how much I appreciate your insight and wisdom, so having you involved would be absolutely wonderful. More to come about new content in DOMinators News, or I might just have to contact you directly by email. That’s just how much I value your opinion. Thanks for being such an encouragement to me and Degrees of Maternity. I pray the best to you and your family in 2023 and beyond.

Jana,
This is the third time I have tried to reply as my words seem to disappear after so many lines.
Here goes again. It is good to see that you are moving on from 2022 and striking a refreshed sense of direction for 2023. I particularly like your five lessons learnt this year and that you are taking those into account from now on.
I will look into DOMinators News as well as keeping in touch with you through this site.
Here’s hoping that the coming year proves to be an improvement over the last one, although I don’t think this will be the case internationally.
Best of luck and Happy New Year!
Regards, Phil
