Creative Entrepreneurship Basics: The Beginning of the Week Hustle

The fact of the matter is that I’m knee-deep in some serious activity with my end of 2021 goal challenge. It’s going slowly but surely. And because my momentum for this challenge has been somewhat sluggish, I’m feeling a little pressure in trying to complete everything I have on my list by this coming Friday. Real talk. Yes, Friday is the day to see where I end up with all of the creative business efforts I have going on. And you’ll be one of the first to get in on the cutting-edge updates of the progress made.

By the way, if you have no idea what I’m even talking about because you’ve missed the last few posts regarding this current goal challenge I’ve decided to take on, then you can catch up by reading the introduction and progress on my goal-setting/achievement initiative in the following accounts:

And since I’m feeling a little overwhelmed with the tasks before me, I’d better go ahead and get after it. I’m currently wrapping up my “Book Report Helpers” for my Teachers Pay Teachers store. They’re coming along wonderfully though, if I do say so myself. It’s so rewarding to create fun and colorful products that can help elementary-aged students with their reading and writing development — skills that will continue to build and travel with them throughout their lives.

You’re welcomed to check out what I have up on my store today, but you won’t see my “Book Report Helpers” there just yet. They’re still in the production phase, along with my freebies that will, hopefully, make their appearance no later than this coming Friday.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know I’m a-workin’. In the midst of the actual putting the nose to the grindstone right now. And while this may be one of the most hard-hitting parts of the creative job — doing the actual work requiring a real commitment — I’m currently in the “means” to get me to a fabulous “end”. (Although, I must admit that the creative work is my jam. It’s all the “other” stuff attached to it that becomes the grind.) Regardless, the results of getting all of my creative efforts done will be well worth the work that it’s taking me during this winter break in my household.

Oh, but don’t get me wrong. I’m factoring my downtime in there, nonetheless. I just keep reminding myself that:

Hard Work Pays Off

Now, back to work.

  1. Sorry I’m just now getting to your wonderful comment, Phil. Ironically though, the challenge is now over as I’m just replying to this. Oh well. Thanks so much for being a great Accountability Partner. Knowing you would be tuning in helped me to get some stuff done.

  2. I am glad you have your nose to the grindstone, although it could get somewhat red and sore as a result. While your picture of a cup and a note pad is to the point, maybe the words should read something like this, “Eventually, all your hard work will pay off”, because remember, “Rome was not built in a day”. By the way, look at the date, it is nearly 2022, and it just has to be a better year than the last couple.
    Remember, I am keeping tabs!
    Regards, Phil
