The “Blogging Truths Be Told” Series is Taking a Vacation Day

Change of Plan

Yes, you read that correctly. The “Blogging Truths Be Told” series decided to go on vaca today. It’s due a little break, I suppose. So, I decided to . . . okay, let me stop with the whole personification bit. What I really should be saying is that I’m taking a break from the “Blogging Truths Be Told” series for this week. I just wasn’t feeling it for today. And you know that I want to come out with some real doses of truthful talk when it comes to our rapidly-expanding blogosphere. No awkwardly-manufactured stuff, but the stuff that shoots straight from the heart. So, I should be ready for some blogging truths action next time.

But, for today . . .

Well, here . . . I’m not going to leave you high and dry. Let me just drop some oldies but goodies for you.  (And then I won’t feel so bad about playing hooky today.) This content I’m about to link up for you is still plenty relatable and could make itself known as part of the challenges that many bloggers (newbies to gurus) face each and every day. It’s that dear, old topic of MARKETING your wares.

I actually created some blog posts, discussing the uncomfortable aspects of marketing in my personal wheelhouse. You can check out my old but still good “Blogging Truths Be Told” posts about marketing being cringey (right here and here).

But if you’d rather give it a listen to, please don’t forget that I have a little podcast thing going on. And I just uploaded part 1 of the “Marketing is SO Cringey” series, if you’d rather listen to it here. Furthermore, I’m anticipating that part 2 will be uploaded next week if all goes as planned. (The podcast episodes are coming out weekly on Wednesdays.)

So, take some time to listen to some of the blogging truths that I’m putting out there. I’ve started recording them back from day 1 of the series and am turning all of the blog posts from the series to podcast episodes. It’s amazing how this evergreen content applies right now in my journey just like it did back then when originally blog posted.

Hope you’ll check out the audio recordings and compare which way you’d rather consume the series information. Hey, I wouldn’t even stop you if you’d rather take in both the blog posts and the podcasts for each “Blogging Truths Be Told” installment. They’ll openly welcome you on both ends of their spectrums.

  1. Oh, I’m so glad you feel that way too. I mean I guess I always have a lot going on, but taking a break from things here and there is a surefire way to help refill the well on those areas of life. Thanks Kat for making me feel better about my vaca day.:)

  2. Today feels like a good break day to me, too! But this is also a good blogging truth for new and old bloggers: sometimes you just have to take one. Everyone does and it’ll always be okay.
