Blog Update

It’s been awhile since I served up a double whammy of blog posts — meaning more than one post in a day. So, I thought it was time for one. And today’s the day. I won’t keep you very long, though. Really, I just wanted to give you a little update on the Degrees of Maternity blog by informing you of the latest development that has surfaced and it’s all about your shopping experience.

I decided to partake of some of WordPress’ additional functionality and provide a way for interested parties to purchase Degrees of Maternity products straight from WordPress itself. And while I’m no techie by any stretch of the imagination, I was able to use WordPress’ easy-to-navigate block system to set up a PayPal button, which will allow you to purchase digital teaching or learning educational tools that I place up on this platform.

I’m starting out with my journal covers, bookmarks, and doorknob hangers that were created to encourage reading and writing activity in young children. I’m going to start out with these product offerings but will plan to add more products to the shop as time goes on.

I’m looking at the fact that my 10-year-old has about a month left of school and will be free for summer break after that. And any enrichment tools or activities I can bring his way to keep his mind challenged and focused on something other than video games is a welcomed opportunity. So, if you’re coming upon a similar scenario in your household or know of a youngster that you’d like to inspire to read and write during the summer break (or all year long for that matter), you might want to take a look at the page I just added to my main menu, entitled “Shop Products (on WordPress)”. You can find it here.

I wanted to also mention that I updated my prior “Shop Products” page to now say “Shop Products (on Etsy)”. You can find my entire line of products to-date (digital and physical) at my Etsy shop. That page of this blog didn’t change; I just updated the title of the page to reflect the distinction of shop products between those you can purchase on Etsy at this link and those you can now purchase on WordPress.

Furthermore, you can also find my first self-published book, Playground Instruction for the Growing Adult on the “Books” page at this location. The amazon.com link is provided for you there.

Well, I think I just about covered everything I wanted to cover in this blog update. Feel free to peruse the goods I’ve made available to you.
