Well, my new product development journey has resulted in a dream-turned-to-reality. And, I’m thoroughly enjoying the ride thus far. This new baby I just birthed has been a long time in coming. It was truly the brain child that I was waiting my whole lifetime to be introduced to.
Having the privilege to create something of value that not only you can utilize as the content creator (but something that can be a blessing to others if applied as prescribed) is what I like to call self-actualization in content creation. It’s the realization that you’ve applied all your best in skills, knowledge, and abilities into a noteworthy effort that has the potential to reach the world with its positively impactful influence.
I’m sounding way too philosophical (WHICH I’M DEFINITELY NOT), so let me bring down the undertone to something more Jana-like.
Anyway, I’m so incredibly thankful that I get to do what I love and create value while I’m doing it. If you’ve read any of the “Untitled Book #2” series of blog posts, then you know that my “crossroads” experience was one of finding my true purpose for the skills sets that I had to offer professionally. Having something meaningful (to me) to do day-in and day-out would be one of three factors that would act as a driving force in determining what my future endeavors would look like. The other two factors were to do something that would bring value to others and to do something that I could earn a living by doing.
Well, number one is locked down, two is looking promising, and three has yet to be seen. But, you have to start somewhere. And, processes take time and growth journeys happen over time. So thankfully, I’ve come to that understanding and have learned to be okay with it, which is a huge accomplishment for impatient “me”. All in all, I’m thrilled with where I’m at in my content creation journey and plan on continuing to keep moving forward. And so, I’m not going to be too long with this post, as today is July 1st and I already have a line-up of goodies I plan on releasing this month on my Etsy shop as well.
And speaking of the Etsy shop, I talk somewhat briefly about what’s been going on with me recently as well as my future outlook in yesterday’s post, entitled Announcement: My Shop is Now Open!. I’d love for you to read up on what came out in type-written form on this blog after returning from a week-long hiatus from the blog posting scene. Let’s just say, the new products are in full force and out in the world.
And before I let you go, I just have to give a couple of shout-outs to two resources that came through for me like the true supportive partners they both are . . . my daughter (Toodlez) and Canva. Okay, I know it seems a bit odd that I have a human being and a graphic design platform in a sentence together as my heroes. But, they both were totally just that!
My daughter is such a champ. She’s a full-time engineer who puts in a full day outside of home and then would come home to help me by creating all of the little artistic images that you’ll see in the e-book, guide, and template items in the shop. And then, Canva swooped in and allowed me to arrange and put all of the pieces together in neat little packages to present to you. For someone who’s not tech savvy at all, I was pretty much at the mercy of the capabilities of both to make my content creation dream a reality. So, to Toodlez and Canva:
THANKS SO MUCH FOR COMING TO MY AID NOW AND IN THE FUTURE.
Okay, I’m no dummy. Once I find a good thing, I plan on holding on for dear life. So, you’ll be seeing more of Toodlez’ and Canva’s contributions in future products.
In conclusion, as was mentioned yesterday, I wanted to make sure and update this blog with a new page, entitled “Shop Products”. (You’ll see it when you go to my “Home” page). When you click on the link, you’ll be taken to all the items (complete with images and brief descriptions) that I now have on my Etsy shop. I also included the link to the Etsy site for your convenience if you’re interested in checking it out.
I woke up on the first day of July feeling pretty super-fantastic — still a little sleep deprived, though. Oh, the sleep thing will work itself out. But, I’ve got to keep the creative wheels a-turnin’ while I still have some creative momentum going. So, I’ll sign out for now and leave you with this important message:
