Happy Tuesday, everyone! It feels like it’s been forever since I last posted something on this blog. And in actuality, it’s only been about a week. But when you look at the fact that we’re at the last day of June, time seems like it’s on supersonic travel mode. Yes, I know that’s a bit of an exaggeration. But for me, time has been going by way too fast. Let’s just say that I was already thinking on the fact that Little Man’s school year is supposed to start mid-August (if that date still stands). And the way I’m looking at time, the first day of the new school year seems like it’s right around the corner. Already!
Anyway, I wanted to apologize for being MIA for a while, even though I announced it and said I would be posting something last Monday and Tuesday and then would be out the rest of the week. However, my intention was to return to posting activity yesterday, but that didn’t materialize. I had a totally acceptable excuse for being absent, though. I was feverishly working on some shop particulars, such as getting my products finalized and navigating around a new platform. And therefore, that hard work and effort I was putting out yesterday (and several days before that) has allowed me to take this time to announce that:
The Degrees of Maternity Etsy Shop is now open!!
And yes, the shop name is the same as my blog. I was glad to see the name hadn’t been taken by any other Etsy shop owners, as I wanted to keep all of my sites streamlined to the “Degrees of Maternity” name.
Today, June 30, 2020, marks the grand opening of Degrees of Maternity on Etsy.com. Then, tomorrow marks the updating of this site with all the particulars of my Etsy shop. So, you’ll see a new page on my “Home” page, entitled “Shop Products”. And it’s on this page, where I’ll visually present the products and product bundles (with descriptions) that I have on the Etsy shop as well as the link to the site. There are just 4 listings currently — not much but you have to start somewhere.
Ideally, today would have been a great time to update this blog site since the Etsy shop just opened. But, I have to be honest with you. I’m just flat out tired. I’m running on fumes right now. And I’m not entirely sure how many hours of sleep I’ve actually had in the last 48 hours, but you can count that number on two hands. So, I thought I’d take the rest of this evening to decompress and I’ll hit it hard tomorrow with all the appropriate updates.
But to close out this announcement, I just wanted to say how incredibly good it feels to actually accomplish a goal that I set by the deadline I assigned to it. That phenomenon doesn’t happen for me as often as I’d like it to; so when it does, I feel like celebrating the achievement. I’ve already determined that the reward I’m honoring myself with is an early retirement to my comfy bed tonight. I’m so excited!
Anyway, before I go I thought I’d drop you the link to the Etsy shop in case you’d like to peruse it before I get my new page up tomorrow. And although my shop is a little bare right now, I’ll be beefing it up quite regularly as I have new product offerings to present. I already have a group that’s in progress and planned for a July launch date.
