Back to Natural Basics: The Benefits of Ginger

Ginger is a leafy, flowering plant that produces clusters of yellowish-greenish-purple flowers. The root is the part of the plant that’s used for cooking or for medicinal purposes. Ginger can be consumed in its raw form, dried (as a spice), and as a liquid extract. The less processing of ginger, the better; however, manufacturers have also made ginger available in capsule or tablet form. Its benefits are numerous and far-reaching.
