More Than an Idea Without a Home

I’m finding it necessary to stop my plans and to listen to my wonderful friends in the blogosphere and beyond. I’m seeking knowledge, folks. I want to know what I can provide as helpful tools to assist you with homeschooling instruction for your children.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I gotta have feedback from the people that matter the most, because lookie here . . .

I’m well aware that every excellent idea to one person may not be as brilliant of an idea to the next person or even a bigger group of people.

Now, I’m not tooting my own horn here, but I do have some excellent ideas in mind. But yet and still, I know well enough to know that, if my idea isn’t helping the community-at-large, then it’s going to fall flat. I’ve been there and done that and I know exactly how it feels to have high hopes but never quite make it off the ground as well as desiring to be a blessing to people but not really meeting them where their needs are. It’s not a good feeling.

And while I know that I can’t be all things to all people, I really want to see this seedling of an idea of mine sprout into something more than a well-meant intention that only benefits me, myself, and I. That’s not what I’m about.

I want the value to be far-reaching, so I need to hear from you. And I’ll have different options for you to provide feedback. I’ll be posting poll questions here at Degrees of Maternity and on my Twitter page at https://twitter.com/degsofmaternity. So, please check the blog on Mondays and Twitter throughout the week to get to the polls. I’ll start posting them here next week and on Twitter this week.

(But please know that you can always contact me through this blog at my Contact page or on any post at any time — no need to wait for the polls to say “hey”.)

I’ll also be sending freebies your way during “Freebie Fridays”, which, of course, will be on Fridays throughout this month and possibly all of May. I’ll keep the good stuff going out to you if you find it of benefit. (And honestly folks, I’m working on building up my email list so that I can inform those of you (who subscribe to Degrees of Maternity’s email list) about all the goodies I have coming in the future.

And once you’re on the Degrees of Maternity email list, you will automatically receive all the freebie offers that I’ll be sending out every Friday.

Furthermore, I promise I won’t send you informational fluff. I’ll only deliver the stuff that’s going to serve a purpose. So, please sign up and take advantage of this avenue to provide your feedback. You can find my first Freebie Friday here, but I’ll be seeing you again this Friday as well and so on.

Okay, so you might be wondering how you’ll get an opportunity to provide feedback, based on subscribing to my email list.

Well, let me explain.

My intention is for you to receive the freebies so you can let me know if they’re the types of downloadables that you can use in your household and that are actually tools you want to see more of. And just remember: I only have my perspective to go from when I initially put things out. But, I’d rather have a wider perspective that can hit on areas I may be missing. More minds are usually better than one, don’t you think?

I also want to thank those of you who have responded in the past to my polls and questions. I really appreciate it. It does my heart good to know that people care enough to take their time to respond and help me to provide the best to folks who deserve the best.

And rest assured that I’m not one of those people who asks for feedback and then tucks it away somewhere. I’d like to incorporate the suggestions people have if it’s in my power and the best interest of others to do so.

Therefore, I hope to hear from you soon. I’M LISTENING.
