Reasons to Share Your Journey

One of the most powerful acts that a person can perform for the benefit of others is to share pieces of his or her life. The human experience is something that connects us all. And, there’s something deeply beautiful about being “real” and transparent with your audience that many times can supersede all other efforts to be universally relatable.

Life is a Journey

I personally enjoy sharing snippets of my life journey with you. My hope is that my experiences will resonate with those who may need a little encouragement, inspiration, and confirmation that they’re not alone. Here are my top 7 reasons for sharing my journey with the world:

  1. It’s nice to have the details of your journey documented for your records, especially when those details may later slip your memory.
  2. Your experiences can help guide others while they’re on their journeys.
  3. Sharing your story may attract attention from outside sources who are interested in working with you, based on the type of journey you’re on.
  4. You connect with others and can form lasting relationships with others who are interested in your journey or on a similar path to yours.
  5. You make yourself more relatable to others and can draw audiences that like to follow you consistently because they want to see your process/progress until the end.
  6. Your level of accountability for continuing on your journey is higher because you’re sharing your life with an audience.
  7. You can track your progress and the milestones accomplished while on your journey.
