Goals to Close out the Year

This last week has been predominantly about goal-setting efforts. We started by discussing step 1 of the Goal-Setting Process, which has everything to do with brainstorming those goals you want to set and/or accomplish within the next 6 months. Then, we went into The 3 C’s of Goal-Setting (commitment, consistency, and confidence), which are incredibly vital to the success of achieving your goals. So, to end this blogging week, I thought it would be fitting to leave you with some suggestions for possible goal ideas to close out 2019 (if you find yourself needing a little goal-setting inspiration). We only have 4 months left of this whirlwind of a year! Yikes!

I pulled up this list of goal categories that were noted as my to-dos back in February of this year. I’m in the process of actively participating in some of them, while others have been put on the back burner. All in all, reviewing this list is a helpful point of reference for where I’ve been, where I’m at, and where I’m headed. It’s an excellent written reminder that I have some work yet to do; and actually, all of these goal ideas are on-going initiatives . . . what I like to call GOALS FOR LIFE.

  • to eat and drink healthier
  • to get enough sleep
  • to be physically active
  • to de-stress with relaxation techniques that increase mental and physical health
  • to cultivate family and friend relationships
  • to indulge in positive recreational activities that you/I enjoy
  • to learn something new that both interests and challenges you/me
  • to utilize the assistance of reliable and encouraging support mechanisms
  • to utilize organizational tools to help manage the daily workload
  • to develop a back-to-nature or natural alternatives perspective when considering health and household needs.

I find these goal ideas to be very indicative of important areas in my life. You’re welcomed to use them or create your own life-improvement/life-enhancement to-do list. 2019 ain’t over yet. Let’s go!
