Fine-Tuning the Writing

Happy Monday, All!  I hope everyone is looking forward to a bright and productive week.  I know I am, because my editor already returned my manuscript back to me.  What?!  Already?  I’m not ready!  My editor is awesome, yes.  But he gave me an assignment that involves some more writing on my part, NO!  Realistically, I already had imprinted in my brain that I wasn’t going to be one of the unscathed during this editing process; so, I’m not in complete shock.

It’s just so irritating when people correct you and they’re on point with every piece of criticism they hand deliver to you.  Seriously though, I appreciate my editor’s constructive feedback.  It was totally warranted and I know my book will be better for it.  I’m guessing that I’m not the first person that’s ever been asked to do some rework on a manuscript and I’m pretty sure that I won’t be the last.  Furthermore, I’m even more convinced that this won’t be the last time I’m asked to make some edits to my own manuscript, but I’m really hoping that this affirmation will apply to my next book and not another round for this current one.:)

Fine-Tune

Just wanted to check in, but I’ve decided to keep it short today, folks.  As you can see, I have some book writing to do and a book title to firm up.  With the rework I’m doing, some things are organically taking a different shape and my book title seems to be one of those things.  Here’s my theory on this phenomenon:  once my book is in final form, then my book title will take its final shape.  One thing I know for certain is that my survival senses are starting to kick in.  It seems that I’m gearing up to cross that finish line.  If I can just make it through these last few hurdles, I should be in the final stretch.  I’ll keep you posted.
